Zemaitis Guitars - 'Art with Strings'

Sad to hear Rick Parfitt O.B.B. passed away today (24th December 2016). Born in Woking, Surrey (like me). Rick was one of the two front men of STATUS QUO. For a few years he played a Zemaitis Dragon front guitar, built originally for Mick Moody of WHITESNAKE.

If you are interested in Zemaitis guitars, old or new, you need to join the club. Sorry to hear that Greg Lake has passed away. He ordered a few guitars from Tony.

Remember you don't have to own a Zemaitis to join the club!

You can join the Zemaitis Club online using PAYPAL.

Keith Smart ,Chairman – The Zemaitis Guitar Owners Club

Tony Zemaitis the British luthier became a legend in his own lifetime. His customer list included the likes of Ronnie Wood, George Harrison, Eric Clapton and many more. Tony Zemaitis pioneered hand-crafted guitars and was instrumental in creating the ‘boutique guitar’ market.

He produced beautifully decorated acoustics with phenomenal sustain and tone; stunning electrics with engraved metal or intricate pearl inlayed fronts; and all were such great guitars to play! These instruments are truly “Art with Strings”.

The Zemaitis Owners Club was formed in 1996 with Tony's approval and help. He was our Honorary President and regularly wrote for the magazine about his magical instruments and the special people that he made guitars for (from Donovan to the postman down the road). Sadly Tony passed away in 2002 but his legendary guitars still create a stir and indeed new Zemaitis guitars are being produced by Zemaitis International – so his name will live on!

This is the ONLY OFFICIAL Zemaitis Guitar Owners Club no other clubs are sanctioned by the Zemaitis Family or Zemaitis International

With the proliferation of fakes and the increasing value of Zemaitis Guitars, it makes sense to join the Zemaitis Guitar Owners Club. In the magazine we have a section called ‘The Z Files’ where members buy and sell Zemaitis guitars.
